Lenka Poliaková became the director of the world's fourth-best zoo on March 1. She replaced Miroslav Bobek, who resigned from his post at the end of October last year after pressure from former and current employees. She won her return to the zoo, where she had led projects to protect wild animals for two years, in a selection process, beating 32 candidates.
