New cycle ways, a zebra crossing and wider footpaths for key Huddersfield town centre streets

Kirklees Council is about to start work on an £11.28 million scheme aimed at making it easier for cyclists and people on foot to get to and from Huddersfield’s train and bus stations. The Huddersfield Rail Station Connections scheme dates back to 2021 and will be funded by £9.28 million from West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s Transforming Cities Fund and £2 million from Kirklees Council.
