- More than 850 unincorporated communities and 204 First Nations lack adequate transit connections, leaving residents stranded or forced into long, unsafe journeys for essential services.
- Heather McCain, executive director of LET, stated, "Transit is not a luxury—it is essential infrastructure for survival, connection, and equity." Paul Adams of the Rural Health Network called transportation "a health issue."
- Existing commitments include $312 million for TransLink, $537 million for transit projects, and $32 billion in federal infrastructure funding, which Advocates argue could be supplemented by redirecting highway spending.
- The Public Transit Alliance is inviting organizations and individuals across British Columbia to join the campaign, volunteer, and advocate for a connected transit future bridging service gaps.
