Net Conversion Promotes Joshuah Rodery to Chief Financial Officer – Marketing Communication News

Rodery assumes role as independent agency’s growth accelerates. Net Conversion, the Orlando-based impact media agency, has promoted Joshuah Rodery to chief financial officer, seven months after he joined the company as vice president of finance. The promotion is the latest marker in a growth year for the independent agency, which has added three plum media AOR assignments over the past year (Winn-Dixie, Evermore Orlando Resorts, HealthyPaws) and announced its first Midwest office, in Chicago. In his initial months, Rodery, who reports to co-founder and CEO Ryan Fitzgerald, has rebuilt the agency’s financial engine, overhauling planning and reporting, tightening how cash moves through the agency’s media buying, and partnering with executive leadership to drive significant year-over-year growth in adjusted earnings. He also directs accounting, billing, payments, and vendor controls, and leads corporate development and audit readiness. “Joshuah walked in the door and immediately started building the financial backbone this agency needs for where we’re headed,” said Fitzgerald. “We’re growing fast, but growth only works when the numbers keep up. In his new role, his impact will continue to build our path forward.” Rodery’s route to agency finance is unconventional. He came to Net Conversion from Commonwealth Fusion Systems, the nuclear fusion energy company, where he built the management accounting team, led the company through three consecutive clean audits with PwC and the U.S. Department of Energy, and identified and executed studies that generated more than $300 million in tax credit value. “Net Conversion competes with agencies many times its size, and my job is to make sure our financial operations give us that same edge,” said Rodery. “My role is to build the kind of infrastructure that lets an independent agency move even faster.” Source: Net Conversion
