NEROS AWARDED $100 MILLION ORDER THROUGH DRONE DOMINANCE GAUNTLET II

Neros said the award includes explosive payloads and brings its total Gauntlet orders to 14,800 drones after an 800-drone bonus reassignment.

  • On Wednesday, Neros Technologies announced the U.S. Department of War ordered 14,000 attack drones and explosive payloads through the Pentagon's Drone Dominance Program, valued by the Torrance, California, company at more than $100 million.
  • The order follows Neros' performance in the Drone Dominance Gauntlet II competition held in August at Fort Carson, Colorado, where the manufacturer placed in the top three for both Close Quarters Battle and Deep Strike mission sets.
  • Neros will supply flagship "Archer AI" 10-inch autonomy-enabled drones and smaller "Archer 5" systems, both utilizing the Adaptive Payload Exchange standard to swap payloads in the field.
  • In addition to the Gauntlet II contract, Neros secured a bonus order for 800 units reallocated from Gauntlet I competitors that failed to meet production deadlines, bringing its Gauntlet I total to 5,200 drones.
  • The Pentagon's $1.1 billion Drone Dominance effort opened its third round on September 28 with $450 million allocated for about 60,000 drones, requiring competitors to deliver 400-drone orders within two months.
