17-Year-Old NEET Aspirant Dies by Suicide in Ahmedabad Days Ahead of Re-Test
Police said no suicide note was found after the 17-year-old jumped from his apartment days before the NEET-UG re-test.
Early on Thursday, a 17-year-old NEET aspirant died by suicide after jumping from his sixth-floor flat in Tragad, Ahmedabad, just three days before the June 21 NEET-UG re-examination.
The National Testing Agency scheduled the June 21 re-test following the May 3 paper leak cancellation, while the teenager had scored 85% in Class 12 examinations and was preparing to improve his results.
Sabarmati inspector YR Vaghela confirmed no suicide note was recovered, and officers seized the student's laptop for investigation. The deceased lived with his mother and 13-year-old brother in Ahmedabad while his father, an advocate, resided in Surat.
