Mark Cuban Joins Ownership Group of Canadian Basketball League Team

The former Dallas Mavericks owner said he wants to help build the Brampton fanbase and bring championship experience to the CEBL club.

  • Known for his 13 years on Shark Tank and leadership during the Dallas Mavericks' 2011 NBA championship, Cuban brings extensive experience to the organization. He praised the league talent as "through the roof."

  • The Brampton Honey Badgers begin their 2026 campaign on May 15 against the Ottawa BlackJacks at the CAA Centre. The league features 70 per cent Canadian players, the highest proportion in any professional league.
