Google has announced Nano Banana 2.1, its image generation AI. This is an updated version of Nano Banana 2, which was officially released in May 2026. Based on Gemini 3.6 Flash, it maintains Flash-level speed and cost-effectiveness while improving visual quality, text rendering, multi-turn consistency, and Google Search grounding at 1K, 2K, and 4K resolutions.
