A boat carrying four crew members sank while being towed by a North Korean cargo ship off Japan's northwestern coast, the Japan Coast Guard said.
At approximately 7:45 a.m. on the 17th, the 8th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters (Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture) received a report from North Korea's rescue coordination headquarters stating that "at approximately 3 a.m., a vessel being towed by a North Korean cargo ship sank, and four crew members fell into the sea."
