Three arrested on suspicion of murder after man dies and dog 'stabbed' during fight
Three people have been arrested as officers investigate the death of a man and injuries to a dog after reports of a fight.
On Tuesday, Staffordshire Police launched a murder investigation after a man died at a home in Hazel Grove, Burntwood, following reports of two men fighting shortly before 9 a.m.
West Midlands Ambulance Service, including the Midlands Air Ambulance, attended the scene and provided advanced life support, but the man was pronounced dead shortly after 10 a.m.
Three people, including two men aged 32 and 27 and a woman aged 33, have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the incident.
Officers established a cordon at the property to investigate the circumstances, while a dog found inside with suspected stab wounds was taken to a vet for treatment.
