The arrival of an asylum seekers' center (AZC) in Venlo is all but certain. The municipality has made binding agreements with the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA). The former Dominican Sisters of Bethany Monastery will soon be able to accommodate up to 600 asylum seekers. The reception will last for at least ten years. After that, the agreement will be evaluated and possibly extended.
