CJP Mumbai protest LIVE: The formal communication issued by Shivaji Park police station said that the police department is not empowered to grant permission for public gatherings on the ground under the existing orders of the Bombay high court and subsequent state government guidelines.
The CJP has claimed that the Mumbai Police have refused permission for the protest scheduled for October 2. Party founder Abhijeet Dipke said that if permission is not granted, a "jail bharo aandolan" will be held in Mumbai on Gandhi Jayanti.
