An international team led by experts in Zurich and with the participation of Innsbruck scientists has developed a potential completely new treatment concept against autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis (MS). Red blood cells with protein components linked to them should lead to a stop of the autoimmune reaction in the brain.
ZÜRICH/STOCKHOLM/INNSBRUCK. An international team led by experts in Zurich and with the participation of Innsbruck scientists has developed a potential new treatment concept against autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis (MS). During the therapy, red blood cells with protein components linked to them should lead to a stop of the autoimmune reaction within the framework of an MS in the brain.
Developed by Swiss and Swedish scientists with the participation of researchers from Innsbruck – The goal is the targeted inhibition of autoimmune processes.
