Heavy rainfall and flooding has been experienced across the Burnett over the last few days. The Bureau of Meteorology predicts the rain event will continue for the Wide Bay and Burnett on Monday afternoon and evening, with locally intense falls possible. “Heavy rainfall continues across south-east Queensland today, but it’s likely to ease overnight tonight and into early Tuesday morning,” Meteorologist Miriam Bradbury said.
