Mozambique's National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) has announced the seizure of 1.4 tons of fentanyl at the Maputo International Airport cargo terminal.
The Mozambican authorities discovered 1.4 tons of fentanyl hidden between bottles of cosmetics from Brazil on Thursday, 13 August. This seizure took place at Maputo airport, as did the seizure in July of another shipment of the same substance, thus raising the question of the country's role in the new routes of synthetic drug trafficking.
Mozambican police have seized 1.4 tons of the highly potent drug fentanyl that arrived at the country's main airport from Brazil, TASR reports, based on a report by the AFP agency.
