Mother in Critical Condition After Trying to Drown 3 Children at Liberty County Home, Sheriff's Office Says

Mother overdosed children on Nyquil before attempting to drown them; two Life Flight helicopters transported the mother and an 11-year-old girl in critical condition, officials said.

  • Investigators planned to remain at the home through the night and into Tuesday, the father cooperated and was interviewed by Texas Rangers, while Texas Rangers, Baytown Police Department, and Child Protective Services are assisting.
