Environmental organizations seek to stop the reform of the Glaciares Law passed by the Argentine Congress a month ago in the justice system. On Monday, they filed a collective amparo with more than 850,000 accessions before a federal court to denounce the unconstitutionality of the reform and request a precautionary measure to put it in abeyance.
The initiative requires that the application and implementation of the law that weakens the protection of glaciers and the periglacial environment be suspended throughout the national territory.
