President Maia Sandu warned that the penetration of Russian drones is not only a threat to Chisinau, but a security issue affecting several European states, including Romania.
On 21 September, the National Security Council discussed violations of the country's airspace by Russian drones, and President Maya Sandou said after the Sovbeza meeting that the Moldovan authorities, in addition to investing in the defence system, were strengthening partnerships with neighbouring countries to exchange information and were working with external partners to introduce modern, effective and cheaper solutions to combat drones.
