Kaohsiung, Aug. 18 (CNA) A 34-year-old Taiwanese soldier, identified by his surname Chiang (江), has been indicted on charges of violating the National Security Act and the Anti-Corruption Act after allegedly providing confidential military electronic records to a China-linked organization in exchange for money, prosecutors said Tuesday.

A soldier surnamed Jiang was suspected of filming videos supporting cross-strait unification and joining the "Wolong Society" due to debt issues. He allegedly sent confidential electronic records required for official business to the other party in exchange for money. After investigation by the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office, Jiang was indicted on charges of corruption and violating the National Security Act.
