Mikayla Matthews Announces Departure From "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives"
Matthews said continuing to work with Taylor Frankie Paul would harm her mental health and the children as Season 6 remains in production.
On Monday, TikToker Mikayla Matthews announced her departure from 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' ahead of the show's sixth season, which is currently filming in Italy.
Matthews cited her refusal to 'platform behavior I don't agree' as the primary reason, insinuating ongoing friction with co-star Taylor Frankie Paul over her actions on the series.
Production previously paused following a domestic violence investigation involving Paul and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, which included mutual restraining orders and a custody battle.
"There's no amount of money worth going against my morals," Matthews wrote, adding she finds it "unethical" to profit from storylines she believes harm children.
Season 6 faces uncertainty regarding Matthews' participation while Hulu has not confirmed Paul's future status on the series as filming continues.
