After it was announced that Mexico will deliver 249 million cubic meters of water to the U.S. from the following week, the Water Advisory Council warned that drought will wreak greater havoc in the north of the country. The organization called for increased investment in liquid management with measures such as field technification, efficient water recovery schemes and for the updating of standards that promote the reuse and regeneration of water.
The Government of Mexico reported this Friday, in a joint communiqué with the United States, that both countries reached an agreement within the framework of the bilateral Water Treaty, which would enable the threat of a 5% tariff to be deactivated.
