Singapore’s MetaOptics Secures up to $10M US Investment Facility
The funding will support a maiden U.S. fabrication line and ongoing customer projects as MetaOptics moves to mass-produce metalenses and modules.
On Monday, September 21, 2026, MetaOptics Ltd announced a US$10 million investment facility from White Lion Capital LLC, secured via warrant deed to accelerate the company's U.S. expansion.
Los Angeles-based White Lion became the first institutional investor in the United States to back MetaOptics, extending the company's investor base beyond Asia into its largest end market.
Funding will establish the Group's maiden front-end semiconductor fabrication line in the U.S. using 12-inch DUV immersion photolithography equipment for mass production of metalenses and modules.
Executive Chairman Thng Chong Kim stated, "Securing our first U.S. institutional investor is an important step for MetaOptics," while the company integrates its technology with U.S. foundries.
Gabriel Gumbiner, Senior Associate of White Lion, noted, "MetaOptics is one of the few companies in the world that can design, mass-produce and test glass-based metalenses at scale," supporting applications in consumer electronics and automotive sensing.
