Meta launches subscriptions with enhanced AI features
The bundles add image and video generation, analytics and customer-service tools, while Meta says its core apps and Meta AI will remain free.
On Tuesday, Meta Platforms launched "Meta One," a subscription service offering enhanced AI capabilities and new features across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp globally.
Meta aims to diversify revenue beyond digital advertising while capitalizing on early momentum; the service has already attracted more than 15 million subscriptions and trials during testing.
Subscription plans range from $2.99 for single products to $499 for the "Max" tier, with bundles combining app-specific features and advanced AI tools like image generation with Meta Business Agent access.
Premium users receive "unlimited" human support and access to AI generation tools like Muse for image creation, plus advanced features allowing content scheduling up to 30 days in advance.
While Meta emphasizes core app experiences will "stay free," the company plans to expand Meta One benefits to its video-editing app Edits and AI glasses soon.
