Met Department Warns of High Waves Along Sri Lankan Coast
Sri Lanka’s Department of Meteorology has issued an Amber advisory for high waves in sea areas extending from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Galle, Matara and Hambantota. The advisory, issued by the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre at 5.30 p.m. on August 19, will remain valid until 5.30 p.m. on August 20.
