Mercury End 4-Game Losing Streak with 93-73 Rout of Reeling Storm
Valeriane Ayayi scored 18 points and 10 rebounds as Phoenix used a 14-0 third-quarter run to pull away, AP said.
On Saturday, the Phoenix Mercury snapped a four-game losing streak by defeating the Seattle Storm 93-73, extending the Storm's franchise-tying losing skid to 10 straight games.
The Storm lost control during the second and third quarters, when they were outscored 62-37; Seattle shot 48% early but finished at just 36% shooting.
Valeriane Ayayi led the Mercury with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while teammates Noemie Brochant and Natasha Mack added double-doubles. Natisha Hiedeman paced the Storm with 20 points.
Coach Sonia Raman urged the team to "stay with the process and stay with the commitment to getting better" despite the 3-14 record during a difficult 2026 campaign.
A difficult three-game homestand begins Monday for the Storm, featuring matchups against the Dallas Wings, New York Liberty, and Atlanta Dream.
Noémie Brochant and Valériane Ayayi both scored a double-double in the victory of the Phoenix Mercury over Dominique Malonga's Seattle Storm (93-73) on Saturday in WNBA's regular season.
