- On Tuesday, Mega Millions offered a $497 million jackpot for the drawing, following no grand prize winner on Friday.
- After no grand-prize winner on Friday, Sept. 26, the jackpot rose for Tuesday, Sept. 30, following Mega Millions' draw schedule of Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m.
- Mega Millions now includes a built-in multiplier that increases non-jackpot prizes by 2x–10x and replaces the Megaplier, included in the $5 ticket price.
- Winners may choose 30 annual payments or a one-time cash option of about $229.5 million; this year has seen four winners including a June 27 Virginia winner of $348 million.
- The next drawing is Friday, October 3, and players can buy tickets at in-person retail outlets or online via Jackpocket in listed online states and territories.
