- Employees in three groups—office and administrative support, retail and sales, and transportation and logistics—face the highest risk, with low-income workers significantly more likely than higher earners to require occupation changes.
- Tanguy Catlin, a senior partner at the McKinsey Global Institute, noted the transition will be tough for six of seven workers, emphasizing that "workers are not interchangeable units."
- Catlin said the education system must evolve to upskill existing workers rather than focusing solely on youth, as helping workers requires updated retraining programs and improved labor market data.
