A major landslide occurred on Wednesday on the Italian side of the Matterhorn, at an altitude of 3900 meters. This area is generally not frequented by climbers and no one has been hit. But mountain guides advise against climbs.
On the Matterhorn a massive landslide has dissolved huge rock masses. The slide has taken place on the Italian side near Cervinia. Experts are responsible for melting permafrost due to extreme heat.
