A massive fire broke out at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday night in two large clothing showrooms located in Abulen, under the Sadar Bazaar police station area of Meerut. Both showrooms were closed at the time of the fire. Smoke billowing from the showrooms caused panic among the people nearby.
