Mary Ruth Hammons, 77, of Paint Lick, KY, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 1st, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. She was born July 6th, 1948, in Jackson, KY, to the late Charles Sr. and Georgia Lawson Overbee. Ruth spent her life as a dedicated educator and caretaker for her family.
