President Abelardo De La Espriella announced the appointment of María Consuelo Araújo Castro as Colombia’s new ambassador to the U.S. government, after the National Government received formal approval from the U.S. administration. The approval was communicated through the U.S. Embassy in Colombia. With this approval, Araújo Castro was empowered to assume the country’s diplomatic representation before the U.S. government.
