Man tied to killing of Central Mass. police chief denied parole
A man charged in connection with killing the Paxton police chief during a chase through the snow in 1994 has been denied parole again. On Feb. 1, 1994, 23-year-old Jamie Richards was breaking into homes with Michael Souza, 26, and Kenneth Padgett when their stolen minivan got stuck in a snowbank. Souza carjacked a Department of Public Works truck at gunpoint, and the three men drove off.
