Man in court as family pay tribute to woman killed in multi-vehicle crash near Edinburgh Airport
Police said three people face charges after the four-car crash, while investigators continue to appeal for dashcam footage and other evidence.

- The multi-vehicle crash involved Patterson's Hyundai i30, a Mercedes A250, a Skoda Karoq, and a Renault Captur, with emergency services attending the scene on Monday morning. Two women, aged 19 and 23, were also charged in connection with the incident.
- Patterson's family stated, "Linda was a beautiful soul whose warmth and cheery sense of humour left their mark on everyone she knew." Business partner Arthur Alexander described her as his best friend of more than 40 years.
- Sergeant Mike Thomson stated, "Our investigation remains ongoing, though we are not looking for anyone else in connection." Police urge witnesses with dashcam footage or CCTV to contact 101, quoting reference 0756 of September 7.
- Reports will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal as the community expressed condolences; staff at the Central Inn in West Calder and cousin Trishia Ashcroft said the family was "shocked to the core.
