- On Saturday night, Quincy Police were dispatched to 500 Falls Boulevard around 11:00 p.m. after a 911 call and found a 26-year-old woman dead and Guiovani Garcia, 34, seriously injured.
- Officials declared the death a homicide and said the investigation is active and ongoing Sunday, with Massachusetts State Police detectives, Quincy Police, Quincy Fire Department, Brewster Ambulance, MSP Crime Scene Services Section, and MSP Crime Lab chemists assisting.
- Responding officers found Guiovani Garcia, 34, of Quincy with apparent stab wounds, and he was taken to a Boston hospital for treatment.
- Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey said Garcia faces murder charges and will be arraigned Monday; the district attorney's office will release more details afterward and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
- The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, her name withheld pending notification of next of kin, and authorities asked the public to check back for updates.
