Murder investigation after man stabbed to death in southeast London
A 30-year-old man was arrested in hospital as police said the victim died at the scene and inquiries continue.
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the Metropolitan Police launched a murder investigation after a man in his 30s was fatally stabbed at Westow Hill in Crystal Palace.
Responding to reports of a stabbing at 3:39 am, the London Ambulance Service and officers arrived at Westow Hill to find two men in their 30s with serious knife wounds.
Despite attempts by paramedics and police, one man died at the scene, while the second man was hospitalized with injuries deemed neither life-threatening nor life-changing and arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who is leading the investigation, stated an extensive police presence continues in Crystal Palace as officials examine multiple crime scenes throughout the area.
Local businesses including Thai Crystal and Craft and Courage remain closed due to cordons, while authorities urge witnesses to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
