Man charged with murder after Norfolk GP found dead
The CPS authorized the prosecution after police investigated the death of a 45-year-old GP, and the case is now before the courts.

- Police arrested Mark Cain on suspicion of murder following discovery of the body at her Fern Hill home; officers subsequently applied to Great Yarmouth Magistrates for a warrant allowing an additional 32 hours to question him.
- The Crown Prosecution Service decided to prosecute Mark Cain for murder following the investigation, while the medical centre apologized, stating, "We apologise for the disruption and appreciate your patience and understanding."
- Mark Cain is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on October 7 after being remanded in custody; patients with appointments will be contacted about alternative arrangements as soon as possible.
