Feds Accuse Miami Beach Man of Threatening Trump, Rubio, Bondi: ‘Imma Kill All Y’all Pedophiles’
Authorities say Nathaniel Sanders II posted repeated threats on X and Instagram, and prosecutors say the case carries up to 10 years in prison.
- Federal agents arrested 32-year-old Nathaniel Sanders II of Miami Beach after a months-long investigation into social media posts threatening President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Attorney General Pam Bondi from January through April.
- The Secret Service began monitoring Sanders on January 28 after he posted on X, "Imma bomb the f---ing White House," followed by "I mean it," prompting investigators to identify him through open-source research and self-identifying videos.
- In an April 10 video, Sanders brandished a firearm while addressing First Lady Melania Trump, saying "all I got is a gun. It's the only thing I can use now is a gun." He later called Trump a "fata-- orange pedophile a-- pervert."
- Sanders appeared in federal court on Monday and remains in custody at the Federal Detention Center in downtown Miami, with a detention hearing set for Thursday morning and his arraignment scheduled for May 18.
- U.S. Attorney Jason A. Reding Quiñones for the Southern District of Florida stated, "Threats against public officials are not political speech. They are serious federal crimes that endanger public safety and the rule of law." Secret Service officials warned online threats receive investigative priority regardless of platform.
