Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehended a 52-year-old man who abandoned his Ford truck and attempted to walk away from a safety checkpoint set up along U.S. 1 South. The man, found to be driving under suspension, was also charged with intent to distribute cocaine.
