Leeds-Based Kitchen Firm Enters Liquidation as Customers Urged to Act Now
Kaboodle said cash constraints led to creditors’ voluntary liquidation, affecting staff across five depots and leaving customers to collect stock by May 8.
Kaboodle Ltd announced it has ceased trading with "immediate effect," appointing insolvency specialists BRI Business Recovery and Insolvency to manage the company's voluntary liquidation process.
Commercial Director David Simpson cited "cash constraints" as the primary reason for closure, noting that restructuring to focus on the Home Installation market required exiting the Housebuilder sector.
For more than two decades, the firm operated facilities in Highbridge, Basingstoke, Stevenage, Telford, and Leeds, providing home appliance supply and installation services to retailers and manufacturers.
Kaboodle urged customers to collect all stock by May 8, warning that "staff will be leaving the business" and control may pass to the liquidator or landlord afterward.
Former managing director Matthew Pitt added, "Sad to hear the news about the closure of Kaboodle today," expressing hope that affected employees receive support during this difficult period.
