The onset of sunny and warm days has awakened ticks, which have been active since the end of February this year. Both in nature and in city parks and gardens. And just as the activity of these parasites is increasing, so are Lyme disease and encephalitis, the diseases they transmit. But while encephalitis can be vaccinated against, people must rely only on caution when it comes to borreliosis.
