Lyft Driver Charged with Attempted Luring and Sexually Harassing 2 Princeton University Students
Authorities say the driver offered $100 before demanding sex from one student and is accused of targeting at least two Princeton University students.
On Tuesday, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office announced charges against 28-year-old Lyft driver Dimario Wynter of Spotswood, New Jersey, for luring and harassing two Princeton University students last month.
Prosecutors allege the first incident occurred April 16 when Wynter stopped his black Jeep Patriot on Prospect Avenue around noon, handing a student a $100 bill and demanding a sexual act.
The following day, April 17, Wynter allegedly approached a second student on Ivy Lane around 9:30 a.m., offering a $100 bill and asking her to leave with him before she returned the money.
Princeton University Department of Public Safety Detective Martin Krzywicki identified the suspect, leading to Wynter's arrest April 30 at the Princeton Police Department; he was released pending future court appearances.
Lyft confirmed it permanently removed the driver from its platform, stating the company takes such reports "extremely seriously" in a statement to FOX 29.
