He was the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of ARTRAC in Shimla, notable for his leadership and bravery. Commissioned into the SCINDE HORSE armoured regiment in 1987, he received the Sena Medal for gallantry during counter-insurgency operations and commanded various formations throughout his distinguished career.
