Maintaining facilities is a constant challenge for small, rural school districts with limited funds. Recently, the Loyal School Board talked through a major facilities project that has been on their minds. The elementary parking lot needs to be redone. It has had drainage issues for some time and several areas have been patched over the years. At the Feb. 25 meeting, the board moved closer to making a decision.
