PICACHO — The Picacho Peak Dairy Queen Travel Center will permanently close May 31 after serving the Arizona community for more than 40 years, the company announced.

Local Dairy Queen Relinquishes Her Thrown After Nearly Six Decades

The longstanding Dairy Queen "barn" at 410 North Avenue has permanently closed.  First expected to be temporary, the late April closure of the quick-serve restaurant  is now permanent, with the building now stripped of all Dairy Queen signage.  Fulton County property records indicate that the 2,690 square foot building was completed in 1967 and occupies a .39 acre lot.  The property last sold in February 2025 for $1.5M.  Related: A former Pizza …
