Nestled on one acre of land about 20 kilometres from town is Birchill Cemetery. It is one of the few cemeteries in the area that are not municipal owned. It is maintained solely by volunteers with financial assistance of the government’s Perpetual Care Fund. The Birchill Cemetery Board also welcomes donations made in memory of loved ones.
