Liverpool See Second Improved Bid for Yankuba Minteh Turned Down as Brighton Set Demands: Reports
Liverpool’s second £60 million offer was rejected as the club weigh a move for Endrick if talks for Yankuba Minteh stall, sources said.
Liverpool have had a £60m bid for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh rejected, marking their second unsuccessful approach in as many days after the Seagulls turned down a £50m offer on Thursday.
The Gambia international has given the green light to Liverpool's project, with transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming the winger reached a broad verbal agreement over contract terms.
Should negotiations for Minteh fail, Liverpool could pivot to Real Madrid forward Endrick, according to The Times. The 20-year-old previously spent time on loan at Lyon.
Reds head coach Andoni Iraola has emphasized the need for more wingers in his squad before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.
The club has already signed winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna this summer, but remains without a replacement for Mohamed Salah as the campaign approaches.
