SpaceX Launches 3 Telecom Satellites to Orbit on 700th Falcon Mission of All Time
The booster landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship after its 29th flight, continuing SpaceX’s rocket reuse program.
- On Sunday, SpaceX launched three SES O3b mPOWER satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 2:49 p.m., targeting medium Earth orbit for global connectivity services.
- These satellites join 10 O3b mPOWER spacecraft already in operation, expanding high-performance connectivity capacity for government, enterprise, and mobility customers worldwide.
- Following stage separation, the Falcon 9 first-stage booster completed its 29th mission aboard the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship, while weather conditions reached about 75% favorable for liftoff.
- Once operational by mid-2027, the new O3b mPOWER spacecraft will provide additional resiliency and flexibility across SES's MEO network supporting critical customer needs.
- Following its Intelsat acquisition, Luxembourg-based SES now leverages more than 100 years of combined industry leadership, building integrated connectivity solutions across multiple technologies and orbits.
