A train from Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) crashed into a car at a railway crossing on Monday night, causing a fire and leaving three passengers injured, according to authorities. The passenger train bound for Ronkonkoma from Jamaica was traveling eastwards when a vehicle hit the Little East Neck Road junction, east of Pinelawn Station, around 7:15 p.m., reported MTA police.
