Allentown's Lights in the Parkway is shining bright once again after crews spent Monday replacing and repairing holiday light displays that were damaged by vandals over the weekend.

The vandalism at Allentown’s Lights in the Parkway that prompted its closure over the weekend is estimated to have caused more than $50,000 in damage, according to officials. City spokesperson Genesis Ortega said the cost of the damage — which included bent light poles and posts, crushed light bulbs and portable restrooms pushed into a creek — is likely closer to $100,000.
