Letter to the Editor
Supervisor Gustafson has failed Olympic Valley again. This time Gustafson claims that crosswalks cause injuries and Placer County cannot accept that liability. Huh? Crosswalks are dangerous? At least that is the reason that Supervisor Gustafson gave at the last Olympic Valley Municipal Advisory meeting. Residents, one after the other, exclaimed the need for safe passage across the constant influx and outflow of traffic along Olympic Valley Road.…

The war that Russia started with Ukraine over four years ago has not ended. Why are Russian athletes competing in tournaments and competitions around the world? There are Russians competing in tennis tournaments located outside Russia today. Do democratic countries just not care anymore about punishing Vladimir Putin’s Russia and are forgetting about sanctioning Russian athletes because the war is not front-page news anymore? How shameful.
